This is one of the few cases when trying to stick close to the source material harmed the movie more than it helped it.
The movie juggled the impossible tasks of making a cute family-friendly romp while also trying to follow the comics (which were aimed at an older crowd).
The best bet would have been to ignore the comics completely and make a wacky, silly and funny movie that's safe for all ages. You know, something closer to "The Emperor's New Groove" or any of the Muppet movies.
As it was, the movie turned out to be too silly and immature for adults, yet too raunchy and dark for little kids.
Still, it's not as bad as Doug said it was. But then again, neither were "Rocky 4" or "The Phantom".
Great! Awesome coloring technique used and wonderful simple, yet dynamic pose. It's all Tank Girl! Everything about it exudes her casual badassness. And the style looks wonderfully cartoony, yet just realistic enough. Hewlett would be proud!
